Algerian artist Youcef Hadjazi is our current May 2019 artist in resident. Durring his stay with us he will be enganged in a research exploring the arguments behind the under-representation of minority cultures and identities working in the arts in London and beyond. His main focus is on the representations of the North African and Arab diaspora but he is also interested in taking his research further into other under-respresented groups within the art world and beyond. During his residency period he collects information, experiences and perceptions of various art practitioners, while shaping an argument for the final event, which will take place on the 29th of May at HOXTON 253 art project space, in East London.
